VAT
VAT is charged at the current rate (20%) on our fees and on some disbursements. Our prices show whether VAT is included.
Disbursements
Disbursements are payments to third parties, such as court fees, Land Registry fees, search fees and barristers’ fees. We will tell you which are likely before we start, and may ask for money on account to pay them.
Estimates and changes
At the start of your matter we send a client care letter confirming our fees, what is included, who will do your work and who will supervise it. If anything changes that affects the cost, we will tell you straight away and before further costs are incurred.
Payment
We may ask for money on account before starting work. We accept bank transfer and debit card. We do not accept cash over £500.
Funding
We do not undertake legal aid work. You may have legal expenses insurance through your home or car insurance; please check your policy and let us know.
